Ploughshare Mixer : TRAXIT Ploughshare Mixer is a Revolutionary Mixer and works on the principle of Mechanical Fluidization of the products being processed.
It consists of a cylindrical horizontal vessel housing a central shaft which runs along the axis of the vessel. Bolted on this shaft at various intervals are Plough shaped Mixing Elements. These plough shaped mixing elements act in conjunction with high speed choppers which enter the vessel wall along its radius. The number of ploughs and choppers depend on the size of the equipment. Due to Mechanical Fluidization of the products particles get individualized, resulting in enhanced specific area. This increase in specific area promotes more homogenous mixing, faster reaction. Products in various phase interactions like: Solid- Solid, Solid - Liquid, Solid - Gaseous can be effectively handled. With proper features the equipment can be used as an Effective Dryer (comes under the classification of Agitated Dryer as defined in Perry's Chemical Engineers Hand Book) and also as an effective Reactor. The application of this equipment is very wide and is limited only by one's imagination. Some of the common applications are in the following industries: Chemical, Cosmetics, Soaps and Detergents, Brake Lining and Friction Cover, Metal Powder, Organic Waste processing, etc.
